Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang masalah kerentanan di wilayah pesisir pulau Bengkalis, seperti masyarakat rentan terhadap bahaya iklim kronis seperti abrasi, banjir, gelombang badai, anomali curah hujan, salinitas, dan juga masalah sosio-ekonomi dengan pendekatan The Sustainable Livelihood Framework. Perempuan Akit yang mewakili masyarakat yang rentan di wilayah pesisir. Yang mengalami dampak perubahan iklim, ditandai dengan langkanya infrastruktur yang tanggap terhadap gender dan mata pencaharian yang terintegrasi untuk perempuan beradaptasi. Temuan diperoleh kerentanan mata pencaharian perempuan pesisir pedesaan disebabkan oleh kurangnya fasilitas dan kelembagaan sosial ekonomi yang memadai. Terdapat kebutuhan akan ruang-fisik komunitas yang responsif gender untuk menciptakan peluang diversifikasi mata pencaharian terlepas dari tingkat ketergantungan perempuan terhadap hutan mangrove, pengembangan keterampilan dan kemungkinan berbagi jaringan diperlukan untuk mengurai permasalahan perempuan pesisir ini. Data kualitatif yang dikumpulkan melalui FGD, wawancara mendalam terhadap perempuan rentan di lokasi penelitian yaitu desa Berancah, desa pesisir yang rentan bencana di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau. Fieldwork dijalankan dalam rentang waktu Juli 2022 hingga Februari 2023.
